To get to Doddamakali, you have to go past Kanakapura, Halagur and Malavalli on the Kanakapura-Kollegal Highway. Traveling on the same road after Malavalli, you will reach a small village called Pandthrahalli. From there, you need to take left turn towards Shimshapura (a JLR sign board on the left will guide you here). Just before Shimshapura you will find a forest check post on the right. A right turn from the check-post and down a steep and the winding road will lead you to Doddamakali Nature Camp. Small jeep-like vehicle is always useful for this journey.

We liked our stay in Old Magazine House. We had great experience, Bird watching, Rafting, Relaxing, Boat Ride etc. Food and service were very good. People there are kindly and helpful. We got lots of information about animals and nature.
STAY & FOOD Was really good. It was maintained really well with good service and co-operation from the staffs but the numbers of accommodations are less. Probably we would return in next few months to experience much better with long duration of stay and find more luxurious stay next time.
Fantastic experience very good hospitality.A nice get away spend time with your loved only in nature lap.
