Here’s a bit of interesting trivia: The Old Magazine House resort used to be an ammunition dump for storing dynamite nearly 20 years ago. Listen carefully… is it the click of a gun that you hear? Let your imagination run wild as you visualize military personnel carrying arms from a bygone era marching through the corridors at this rustic resort.

With a mix of ethnic bamboo huts and dormitories, we cater to all travel budgets. It is an opportunity to stay amidst the sweet sounds of birds that see no end. It is the minimalist lifestyle in the wild that you get here. Of course, all basic comforts are taken care of. Campfires and barbeques are among the perks of choosing us.

The Old Magazine House offers a delectable buffet of primarily Sothern Indian food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Our skilled chefs are always willing to indulge your taste buds anytime as per your preferences with choices from Indian, International & Chinese cuisines.

Depending on the purpose of your visit, Dandeli is suitable for travel all year round.

October to January: Dandeli is at its best during this period as the forest is lush green after the monsoon season. This is an ideal time for white water rafting.

February to May: The forest starts getting dry and trees start shedding leaves making wildlife sighting relatively easier. Rafting and water activities are available during this time.

June to September: This is the monsoon season at Dandeli, and since the place receives plenty of rainfall, it is ideal for nature lovers looking for a quiet time to unwind. For obvious reasons, rafting is best avoided during monsoons.

Since Ganeshgudi is pretty close to great view points, natural formations, temples and historic structures, there’s plenty of scope for sightseeing in and around the Old Magazine House resort! Shivaji Fort, Supa Dam, and Syntheri Rock are just a few of them
