Devbagh Beach Resort
.........surf, sand and serenity
Devbagh Beach Resort - Looking for a weekend getaway on beach? Devbagh beach resort could be the one you are looking for. The resort is located in North of Karnataka - just a 2-hour drive from South of Goa off the mainland Karwar.
You can get to Devbagh from Karwar, a land of converging landscapes. Karwar is nestled with the Western Ghats on its eastern side and the Arabian Sea on the west. There you will find several small islands and Devbagh being one of them.
Activities
The beach resort is fountain of excitement and thrills for all beach lovers. Building sand castles, collecting colourful seashells, chasing crabs in the sands and wading into the sea - do whatever you like at Devbagh beach resort. Indulge yourself with beach combing, a game of beach volleyball or simply lazing in the shade on a hammock watching the shimmering sea.
If you love adventures, Devbagh offers a host of exciting water sports such as parasailing, snorkeling, speedboat cruises, banana boat rides, water scooter and kayaking. You can even hire skilled instructors who will help enjoy the game safely.
Bordering the resort is a cluster of mangrove with their ‘breathing roots’ out. This is also an excellent spot for bird watching. You can even spot pack of jackals prowling and hunting crabs at night.
Take a stroll to the nearby Devbagh village and you can watch the fisher-folk bringing in their daily catch of mackerel, prawns and pomfret, among others. You can also set off in a catamaran to see them casting nets in the ocean. Or, get into a native two-man dugout along with a local fisherman and try your hand at angling.
Go for a pleasure trip to the adjoining islands off Devbagh. And if you are lucky, you may even spot dolphins frolic gracefully in the azure waters. And how about treating your body with a rejuvenating ayurvedic massage at the Ayurveda center in the resort.
